BK schools relocated in Sandy's wake

Brooklyn public school teachers went back to work today, but many aren't heading back to their usual buildings.

The city's Department of Education says 43 Brooklyn schools are damaged or without power in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Teachers from those 43 schools must report to other locations today.

Officials say 23 of those schools are in district 22, one of the hardest hit areas, which includes neighborhoods like Gerritsen Beach.

Officials say 15 schools are in district 18, which includes neighborhoods like Flatlands.List of relocated schools (PDF)
