Crown Heights woman struck in face by stray bullet

A Crown Heights woman is lucky to be alive after being wounded in the face by a stray bullet.

According to investigators, the 32-year-old victim was washing dishes in her Pacific Street home when the bullet pierced through a window on Monday afternoon, striking her in the cheek.

The woman was rushed to Kings County Hospital and has since been released. She is expected to make a full recovery.

Investigators say the bullet came from the courtyard that her first-floor apartment overlooks. Police have not made any arrests and have no suspects at this time. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
