NYC schools honored for efforts to prevent bullying

Dozens of schools from across the city were honored for their efforts to prevent bullying.
Among the 55 schools recognized is P.S. 380 in Williamsburg. The award is part of Respect for All Week.
Each of the participating schools received a banner to display in their hallways. During Respect for All Week, students learn how to fight cyberbullying, harassment and discrimination.
The program launched in 2007 in an effort to make students feel safe, valued and respected. When the pupils feel bullied, they can talk about their issues with a staff member.
This is the second time in three years that John Wayne Elementary has hosted the Respect for All Week awards ceremony.
