New York City has launched a new campaign in the hope of influencing businesses to improve the quality of life for their employees.
The Best for NYC campaign is designed to inspire businesses to improve the way they treat their employees, including giving workers better wages, health benefits and retirement plans.
The effort is a joint collaboration between the city's Economic Development Corporation and B Lab, a nonprofit that helps to improve businesses.
Businesses can ask the EDC to come by their shops to see if their business is held to a high standard. The business will receive a sticker in their window, like a letter grade, that says Best for NYC.
