Adult store replaces risqué window fronts with posters

An adult novelty store on Flatbush Avenue is covering up after neighbors complained the front windows were too risqué for kids.

Sexy Wonders Adult Boutique removed the lingerie and adult toys from the window and replaced them with window-length posters after pressure from the community and elected officials.

Residents have had mixed reactions to the boutique. Some say the business just doesn't belong in the area, especially with a library next door. Others are content with the owner's act of discretion and modesty.

City Councilmen Jumaane Williams and Alan Maisel thanked Sexy Wonders and say they were pleased that the store covered up its window displays.
