A 15-year-old male student was stabbed, just feet away from Canarsie High School.
It happened on Rockaway Parkway and Avenue J at around 3 p.m. Thursday.
According to police, the attacker came at the victim from behind. Witnesses say it stemmed from a fight that got out of control.
The boy was taken to Kings County Hospital in serious condition, but is expected to survive.
There is no word on any arrests at this time.
