Community leaders plan march against gun violence
Community leaders are planning to hold a march against gun violence in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens.
The neighborhood has seen three shootings in just the past week, causing many residents to say they are fed up with the violence.
The march is expected to be held this Saturday.
Organizers say they plan to host a talent show in the neighborhood in the future. They say they will also bring in hip-hop artists who will show kids that there are other ways to express themselves than through violence.
Two people were shot on Bedford Avenue in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens Monday night, sending them to the hospital. A man was fatally shot and a baby was wounded last Saturday a few blocks away.
