'NYC Teen Text' program launched
The city's first lady and first daughter have launched a new mental health resource for teenagers.
Chirlane McCray and Chiara de Blasio announced the rollout of "NYC Teen Text" at Millennium High School in Brooklyn, which is one of 10 high schools taking part in the pilot program.
"NYC Teen Text" provides students with a number to text for free and confidential counseling. It also connects them to ongoing support resources.
Posters and other materials will be posted at participating schools to remind teens of the help available to them.
