Parents: Principal shared personal info that ended up online
Parents of children at P.S. 243 claim the school's principal shared personal information about students that ended up on social media.
Parents who spoke with News 12 said Principal Karen Hambright-Glover shared classified student information, which has ended up on Facebook.
The parents say the principal's twin sister, Sharon Hambright, has been posting personal information about students that they claim only the principal would know.
Parents say through her sister's social media account, the principal has been calling students names, including "monkeys."
They also say the principal has been degrading students with special needs.
When parents went to confront Hambright-Glover, they say she refused to meet with them.
They're calling on the Department of Education to immediately look into the matter and for the principal to resign.
New York City Schools Chancellor Carmen Farina says they will take immediate action if the accusations are proven to be true.
