Did you know that the oldest house in the entire city can be found in Brooklyn?
The Wyckoff House in East Flatbush is surrounded by car washes and body shops, but if you look at the home itself, you'll get a glimpse into what parts of the borough looked like more than 300 years ago.
It was built back in 1652 by the Wyckoff family, who were Dutch settlers, and has survived for centuries, even when the area turned into a landfill in the 1950s.
It's now the Wyckoff House Museum where anyone can step back to another time. It's open to the public Fridays and Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
