Ceiling collapses inside Brooklyn apartment

Heavy rain is being blamed for causing a huge chunk of ceiling to collapse inside an East Flatbush apartment.
Isabella Lewis says the ceiling started leaking and then burst water Wednesday, sending debris everywhere and leaving a gaping hole.
She complains that she knew it was coming because she's seen leaks and cracks in the past when it rains, but that her landlord would only paint over the trouble spots.
Lewis is hoping that her building's management, Flatbush Gardens, will take the issue more seriously now. She says someone could have been standing underneath and been hurt when the ceiling fell.
News 12 and Lewis are both waiting to hear back from the management company about the problem.
