The Cherry Blossom Festival at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden took place Sunday with a little help from some volunteers.
Nearly 100 members from the World Mission Society Church of God volunteered to welcome visitors to the annual Sakura Matsuri, or Cherry Blossom Festival.
Volunteers handed out maps, answered questions about tickets and helped with the long lines.
The church members say that by volunteering they are showing that giving back through good deeds is rewarding.
A worker at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden says thousands of people come for the Cherry Blossom Festival.
