A city program is aiming to wash away graffiti on the walls of businesses in Brooklyn.
"Graffiti-Free NYC" is aimed at helping property owners rid their walls of graffiti and other markings that could negatively affect their business.
Once a request is filed, crews will use a special chemical to soak up the paint and then power wash it all away. The service takes less than one hour and is free of charge.
The city says it supports art and creativity, but not unwanted graffiti or tagging on someone else's property. Graffiti-Free NYC has around 15,000 jobs a year - supported by approximately $2 million in city and federal funds.
