Uber lowers rates for those impacted by L line closure
Uber is offering some relief to residents who rely on the L train.
It's been three weeks since the MTA started suspending train service along parts of the L line during the weekend.
To accommodate these frustrated residents who rely on the subway service, Uber is offering its UberPool service to anyone making stops along the L line for $2.75 a ride.
The deal is being offered for the next two weekends, while the L train service is suspended.
Uber says it is lowering prices to help people who are impacted by the closure and to show off UberPool, its carpool service.
News 12 spoke with straphangers who say they are happy to have a transportation alternative that won't cost them more than a subway ride.
