1 killed, 1 injured in Bed-Stuy shooting

One man was killed and another was injured in a shooting Friday morning in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Police say they were called to Bedford and Lafayette avenues, where they found a 24-year-old man on the ground with a gunshot wound to his torso. The man was taken to Woodhull Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they also found a 23-year-old man near Clifton Place with a gunshot wound in his left thigh. He was taken to Kings County Hospital and is in stable condition.

Police say the violence started when a fight broke out at a bar at 1013 Bedford Ave.

They say they found glass from the bar's front door shattered along with bullets in the tire of a parked car.

A woman who lives nearby told News 12 she heard several gunshots ring out from her bedroom window just before 4 a.m.
