The Shop in Bushwick keeps it 'pit-to-plate' for customers

The owner of The Shop in Bushwick has combined two of his passions into one eatery - bikes and barbecue.

Friday was the grand opening and owner Dan Lyle says customers have been enjoying menu items that include smoked brisket and ribs and Brooklyn sausage.

Lyle says the restaurant has a laid-back feel and is sure customers are going to enjoy the bike theme.

"We built the state-of-the-art smokehouse. It's right here on site and that's why we use the term pit-to-plate, because it comes straight out of the smoker and right onto your plate," Lyle told News 12.

The Shop will also host a variety of local bands.
