The NYPD is now offering a $2,500 reward leading to an arrest in connection with recent suspected hate crimes in Williamsburg.

One of the most recent incidents happened June 29 at the corner of Rodney Street and Lee Avenue. Surveillance video from the scene appears to show two Jewish men in front of a store when paintballs are shot at them, hitting an awning.

The shop's owner says it happened at around 1:45 a.m. No one was hurt, but the paintball left a dent in front of the store.

Another incident occurred a few minutes later, about a half-mile away at the corner of Lee Avenue and Rutledge Street. A 62-year-old man was walking when a paintball struck his left shoulder.

Police say similar incidents took place in Williamsburg in March, but they have not confirmed whether they are connected.
