13 arrested in apparent drug ring bust

Prosecutors say 13 accused drug dealers have been arrested in an East Williamsburg drug ring bust.
Officials say the ring operated out of two housing developments in the neighborhood.
Police say they seized 68 envelopes of heroin, 10 grams of crack cocaine and $2,000 cash at one of the locations.
The investigation had been underway for just under a year, according to officials. Undercover NYPD officers made 27 purchases of crack, heroin and marijuana from six of the suspects.
The other seven were arrested when police executed search warrants.
Charges for the 13 suspects include selling narcotics or possessing drugs. They range in age from 18 to 56.
