Fans support autism fundraiser at MCU Park
Fans came out in droves to watch a different kind of ball game at MCU Park in Coney Island.
The softball matchup featured the Coney Island Autism Angels against Team Treyger, which included Councilman Mark Treyger, his staff and members of the NYPD's 60th Precinct.
The Autism Angles nonprofit was launched several years ago by Veronica Droz after she learned that her daughter was diagnosed with the disorder.
The game was able to raise more than $1,000 in ticket sales.
