The taps are flowing at a beer garden recently opened in Park Slope.
Bay Ridge couple Michael and Alice Halkias are the new heads of the Brooklyn Bavarian Biergarten at Grand Prospect Hall.
With 14 varieties of beer, customers say the bar is a welcome escape on a hot summer day.
In addition to drinks, the bar provides dishes packed with Brooklyn and German influences, from bratwurst and schnitzel to hamburgers. The menu also has vegan and vegetarian options.
The owners say their goal is to transport customers to an urban oasis, away from the bustle of city life.
"We are in the business of making people's dreams come true," says Michael Halkias.
