Missing teen with autism found safe
The search for a Bronx teenager with autism who disappeared in Brooklyn has come to a happy end.
Davaion Needom, 15, was picked up from the 75th Precinct 24 hours after he had gone missing.
As News 12 reported, Needom, who also goes by DJ, went missing while at Linden Park in East New York at around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Needom had been there with his uncle, who says he took off running.
Brooklyn resident Derramius Edwards, who works with disabled children, says that special-needs kids have a tendency to wander off if they feel scared.
Authorities say that they are investigating who found the teen and where he spent the last 24 hours. Needom was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
