It's still only Friday, but that isn't stopping some people from getting a head start on their weekend of fun in the sun.
With clear blue skies and warm sand, tourists and locals alike made their way to Coney Island for the afternoon.
Some kids were nearly overwhelmed with excitement between the amusement park, dipping their toes in the ocean and building sand castles.
The weekend weather is expected to be just as nice, but it will be warm so don't forget to pack the sunscreen and drink plenty of water.
