Woman uses sign language to interpret sermons
A Brooklyn woman is helping people who are deaf experience Sunday morning service, something she says many take for granted.
Kathleen Taylor can often be found at St. Paul Community Baptist Church interpreting the Sunday morning service into sign language for people like Alaina Mitchell.
Mitchell is deaf, but says she enjoys the service like everyone else with the help of an interpreter.
The church has had interpreters at all its activities for 30 years so that no one feels left out.
Taylor has been providing interpreting services for 26 years. She calls it a blessing and says she has also interpreted for Broadway shows and even rock concerts.
