GOP preps for debate, Clinton preps against attacks

As Republican presidential candidates prepare to debate each other Thursday night, Hillary Clinton's Brooklyn Heights headquarters is preparing for potential attacks against the Democratic candidate.
About 150 people coordinate Clinton's campaign from 1 Pierrepont Plaza. The communications team monitors social media, newspaper, blogs, TV news and more. The finance and legal departments are also located at the Brooklyn headquarters.
Tonight, those departments will be monitoring the first debate of the top 10 Republican presidential candidates. Businessman Donald Trump, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Dr. Ben Carson, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Ohio Gov. John Kasich will debate at 9 p.m. in Cleveland.
"We want to make sure that any sort of attack is responded to immediately," says Clinton campaign spokeswoman Adrienne Elrod. "We will be operating our war room ... Debates are exciting, and we're expecting a very long night."
Clinton's headquarters opened in April and the campaign may expand to another floor as the race for the presidency heats up.
The Democratic National Committee plans to hold six presidential debates starting Oct. 13 in Nevada.
