Brownsville residents turn out against violence

In the wake of a shooting that left an innocent 19-year-old woman hospitalized, Brownsville residents turned out Friday to urge their neighbors to help get guns off the streets.

Two suspects were arrested in the shooting Thursday, 38-year-old Vemesis Garcia and 40-year-old Vicente Aponte, who both live in the same building as the victim.

Neighbors say the young woman remains hospitalized and is unable to speak.

Neighbors say they've had enough of the violence in Brownsville.
