Street fair draws crowds in Bed-Stuy

Crowds of people came out on Saturday to partake in the annual Tompkins Avenue Street Fair in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The sixth annual fair featured vendors who sold all types of items, including clothing, jewelery, food and more.

The event is sponsored by the city's Department of Transportation and the Tompkins Avenue Merchants' Association.

Participants said the event helps to build a sense of community in the area.
