Lifeguards pull drowning man from water

A swimmer's life may be saved thanks to fast-acting lifeguards on Coney Island.
Fire rescue workers responded to a drowning call from lifeguards patrolling the beach at 5 p.m. Wednesday evening.
After lifeguards pulled the unidentified man out of the water, rescue workers performed CPR, according to authorities.
Fire officials say the man is in serious condition at Coney Island Hospital, but rescue workers say they believe he will be OK.
