Brooklyn Dominican Day Parade held in Williamsburg
Hundreds joined in on the 15th annual Brooklyn Dominican Day Parade Sunday in Williamsburg.
Participants marched down Graham Avenue waving the red, white and blue flag, wearing traditional Carnival costumes and playing music that reminded them of home.
Those in attendance said they are not only celebrating their culture, but also the Dominican community's contributions to the borough.
Parade organizers said they hold the parade in North Brooklyn because that area has the largest population of Dominicans in the borough.
