Brooklyn man is a rising YouTube star

A local Brooklyn resident is quickly rising through the ranks as a YouTube sensation.

Gary Spielberg is most known for his character the "Russian Grandma," and his videos are going viral.

YouTube videos, Instagram posts, Vines and more have turned Spielberg into the Internet's next big thing.

What began as a one-time skit about "things Russian grandmas say" has now turned into a full-fledged online series.

He performs all of his skits in Brighton Beach at his real grandmother's condominium.

Spielberg graduated from Brooklyn College where he studied film. He plans to take his show on the road and try stand-up comedy in order to grow his brand.
