Costumed kids celebrate Junior Carnival Parade

In a sign that the West Indian Day Parade is almost here, hundreds of youngsters filled the streets of Crown Heights Saturday for the annual Junior Carnival Parade.

The parade is a chance for children to wear the flags of their culture and have fun.

Kids in colorful costumes marched and danced from Kingston Avenue all the way down to Franklin Avenue.

The main event, the annual West Indian Day Parade, will be held on Monday along Eastern Parkway.
