An East New York family is praying for the safe return of Ryan Matthews, a teen who went missing more than a week ago.
The family of the 16-year-old says he was last seen at their home Aug. 28 at about 4 p.m. before he went to Highland Park for his daily run. They say he never came home.
Matthews is originally from Guyana. His family describes him as a quiet homebody who is in good mental and physical health.
Ryan is 5 feet 5 inches tall,135 pounds with short black hair. His family says that he had a wallet, book bag and wore Nike sneakers but did not have a cellphone.
