Firefighters honor 9/11 first responders at MCU Park
Firefighters gathered in Coney Island Friday to remember the first responders from Brooklyn who died 14 years ago on Sept. 11.
The memorial ceremony was held at the Wall of Remembrance in MCU Park. During the memorial, the names of all 343 fire fighters killed on 9/11 were read and a bell was sounded at the exact moments the planes struck each tower.
Loved ones of the victims who attended the ceremony say that they can't believe 14 years have gone by since the tragedy. They say it still feels like yesterday.
Organizers of the ceremony say they plan to continue the memorial each year to make sure that none of the fallen men and women are ever forgotten.
