Police: Bushwick man found dead in shopping cart

Police say they found a Bushwick man's body stuffed into a shopping cart inside his home Sunday.

The 63-year-old man lived in a basement apartment on Bushwick Avenue.

Neighbors say an upstairs tenant called police after the man wasn't seen for a few days. He was known to sit outside or sweep the stoop daily.

Police arrived to find the door unlocked and the man dead at around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Neighbors say the man had a history of medical issues and suffered from seizures.
