Food For Thought: Autumn recipes
The start of fall means it's apple-picking season, and News 12's Natasha Geigel gathered up some great recipes to put them to good use.
She met up with Natalie Slater, author of the cookbook "Bake and Destroy: Good Food for Bad Vegans."
Slater suggested a baked apple crisp, which is made with with brown sugar, coconut oil and 'KAMUT' grains.
Another tasty dessert is thinly sliced apples with dates, cinnamon and brown sugar, warmed in the oven.
Beyond apples, fall also means it's time for great vegetables, like squash. Acorn squash is great for stuffing with quinoa, herbs, cranberries and walnuts.
