Brooklyn celebrates Latin heritage
Hundreds of Brooklyn residents gathered Tuesday for the borough-wide Latino Heritage Celebration.
The event featured food, music and remarks by Borough President Eric Adams.
"It's about rightfully having your place in the future and history of Brooklyn," said Adams.
Adams emphasized the importance all cultures have on Brooklyn.
Those involved in the celebration said the experience brought them closer to their culture.
