Handyman offers free services to people in need
A 27-year-old Sheepshead Bay handyman is offering free services to people in need.
Albert Dashevsky offers his services to seniors and women battling cancer.
The need to help was born out of tragedy four years ago. During a home invasion in Staten Island, his mother and stepfather were shot. His mother survived, but his stepfather did not.
Dashevsky said the following years were a blur, but when he came out of the fog of grief, he knew he had to do something positive to remember him.
His stepfather was a businessman who would give to charity and offer free financial advice.
"I'm using my hands. He was using his brains," he said.
