Weather: Icy roads could impact morning commute
Roads and sidewalks may be slippery for the Monday morning commute due to overnight temperatures below freezing.
News 12 meteorologists say overnight lows of around 23 degrees could cause refreezing on the roads and pavement following the weekend storm. Roads that were covered in puddles of snowmelt or leftover coatings of snow could become extremely icy.
Commuters are being urged to give themselves extra travel time and to be alert.
The rest of the day Monday will bring mostly sunny skies with temperatures around 38 degrees.
Tuesday will see mixed sun and clouds with late-day rain showers, and highs will reach about 40 degrees.
On Wednesday, expect highs around 40 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
