Brooklyn residents stock up on snow supplies

Residents in Brooklyn are stocking up on supplies for the snow ahead of the impending blizzard.

Ice scrapers and shovels are just some of the items in high demand at hardware stores across Brooklyn. Store owner Sam Levin says when storms are in the forecast it typically translates to a 25 percent increase in customers.

Levin says his store has seen lots of traffic since Thursday. He says items that are needed for the storm have been placed at the front of the store. He adds that he also has plenty of staff on hand to help customers.

Residents say they have also stocked up on ice melt and are ready for whatever the storm will bring.
