Melting snow creates slushy conditions for pedestrians

The beautiful, fluffy snow has turned into slush on many Brooklyn streets.
While many say the city plows are doing a good job of clearing the main roads, pushing the snow to the side means pedestrians have to battle mountains of gray slush.
People in Flatbush have been navigating their way through the snow-filled sidewalks, but crossing the street is even harder as people struggle to get over puddles of melted snow.
Most residents who spoke with News 12 say it's a part of living in the area, so they just have to deal with walking through the snow.
Puddles will probably get worse as the snow continues to melt, so it's important to wear snow boots if out walking.
