Heavy rain, wind beat up on Brooklyn umbrellas
Heavy rain pummeled the city Tuesday, battering pedestrians as they made their way around the borough.
The wind was so strong earlier in the day that it rocked cars and light poles.
The rain melted much of the snow left behind by last week's snowfall and created massive puddles, but residents say they didn't mind due to the rise in temperature.
One Brownsville street looked like a makeshift graveyard for discarded, broken umbrellas.
