Police officer cut on face after attempting to arrest suspect in East New York

A police officer suffered a cut on her face after attempting to make an arrest in East New York, according to the NYPD.  Police say two officers stopped a person on Pitkin and Miller avenues this afternoon

Police officer cut on face after attempting to arrest suspect in East New York
A police officer suffered a cut on her face after attempting to make an arrest in East New York, according to the NYPD. 
Police say two officers stopped a person on Pitkin and Miller avenues this afternoon and attempted to make an arrest.
They say the suspect became combative, and one of the officers was cut across her face.
She was taken to Jamaica Hospital with minor injuries.
Police did not say why they were stopping the person in question.
