Police release new images of bus torching suspects
Police released new images Tuesday of the group of five boys who they say torched a Jewish school bus in Crown Heights.
The suspects, all of whom are under 14 years old, were captured on surveillance video running into the bus outside the Beth Rivkah School for Girls on Crown Street Sunday with a cardboard box.
Police say they used a Bic lighter to light the box and engulf the bus in flames.
An 11-year-old suspect has already been arrested in connection to the case and is being charged with arson and a hate crime, according to police.
"We have so many wonderful people around and if the schools and the parents and the community would embrace that, these kinds of things wouldn't happen," says Crown Heights resident Joseph Vogel.
Anyone who recognizes any of the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
