Workforce1 Career Center opens in Sunset Park

The city's new Workforce1 Industrial and Transportation Career Center in the borough will help employers connect with people seeking manufacturing jobs.

There are multiple manufacturing companies at the Brooklyn Army Terminal in Sunset Park looking for workers.

The city's Workforce1 Center is an onsite resource for businesses there to find local employees, according to officials.

The city is working with businesses to match up potential workers who have the skillsets they need, says Gregg Bishop, commissioner of the Department of Small Business Services.

Job seekers should bring two copies of their resumes and dress professionally when visiting the center, because they could be set up with interviews on the same day.
