Police: Man punches, attacks passenger on A train

Police are looking for a suspect who assaulted a 32-year-old man on the A train.

It happened on May 5 around 3:30 p.m. on the southbound A train.

Police say the suspect was sitting next to the man when he suddenly became belligerent and began arguing with the victim.

They say the man also started another argument with a different passenger and when the 32-year-old man tried to calm the man down, the suspect began punching and choking him.

Police say the suspect ran out of the train once it arrived at the High Street subway station.

He is described as a 35-year-old man, 6'0'', 185 pounds with black hair and was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
