A day after charges were dropped against him, a U.S. Postal Service worker spoke exclusively to News 12 about his brush with NYPD officers.
Glen Grays said he was ecstatic when Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson dropped charges against him on Thursday.
"I am completely happy it was caught on camera," Grays told News 12. "From the past history, if it wasn't caught on camera, then my word isn't valid," he said.
Cellphone video shot by a witness shows the officers arresting Grays, who was issued a summons for being disorderly and resisting arrest.
Grays said he was delivering mail in Crown Heights on St. Patrick's Day when a vehicle sped through, almost side-swiping him. He said the vehicle then reversed.
The police lieutenant who oversaw the arrest has been stripped of his gun and badge and the other officers are on modified duty, according to the NYPD.
