The family of a mother and grandmother who was found with her throat slashed in Red Hook is mourning her death while demanding justice.
Flowers and police tape marked the spot where 51-year-old Sharon Whigham was found Thursday morning. Her family says she was well-known and liked in the community in which she grew up.
Community advocate Tony Herbert joined the family Friday as they begged for Whigham's killer to come forward.
Police are continuing their investigation as family members make funeral arrangements.
