Ebbets Field tenants say owners want them to leave.

Ebbets Field, once the home of the Brooklyn Dodgers, now houses thousands. But tenants say because many families have remained there for decades, the lack of turnover is frustrating management.

Beverly Newsome, who runs the tenants organization, claims management purposely avoids making repairs to frustrate tenants, or they illegally evict them before going to a housing court.

Newsome says new tenants could be affected in affordable housing as well, because they could face rate hikes if they have a discounted preferential rate on a lease.

News 12 approached Ebbets Field management about the allegations, but declined to comment.
