2 accused in attempted rape of 25-year-old woman in Flatbush
Police say two men assaulted and attempted to rape a woman while she was walking along the street in Brooklyn.
It happened Wednesday around 2:15 a.m. on Tennis Court and Ocean avenues in Flatbush.
Police say two men followed the 25-year-old woman along the street, then one of the suspects pushed her against a parked car, kissed her neck and touched her genitals over her clothing.
The victim managed to push the suspect off of her, according to police, and ran inside a nearby residential building where she was once again followed and assaulted by the two men.
Police say the two suspects pinned her up against the door inside the lobby and tried to pull the woman's pants off, but she fought back.
One of the suspects knocked the woman to the ground and punched her in the face several times, police say.
During the assault, a resident of the building entered the lobby, and the two men ran away.
Police say the first man is between 18 and 25 years old, 5'8" to 5'11" tall, has a medium build and was last seen wearing a blue jean jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers.
The second man is also between 18 to 25 years old, 5'8" to 5'11" tall, has a medium build and was last seen wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a black sweater and dark-colored jeans.
Police did not say if the woman received medical care.
Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD's Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
