Micah Alleyne charged in shooting death of Carey Gabay
An arrest was made Friday in the shooting death of Carey Gabay, an aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Police arrested and charged 24-year-old Micah Alleyne with second-degree murder in the shooting death of the 43-year-old Gabay.
Harvard-educated Gabay was struck several times on Sept. 7, 2015, just before the West Indian American Day parade as he walked on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn.
Court papers say Alleyne and "numerous others" fired guns, and one of the bullets struck Gabay.
The District Attorney's office tells News 12 it is still working to determine when Alleyne's next court appearance will be.
