Body pulled from waters off Brooklyn Bridge Park
Officials say a body was recovered from the East River near Brooklyn Bridge Park Friday.
Authorities pulled the body from the river near Pier 5 in Brooklyn Heights after someone called 911 to report a possible drowning near Furman Street around 5:30 p.m.
Police, paramedics and firefighters swarmed the area. A boat pulled the body in from the water.
The cause of death is unknown at this time, and the identity of the person who was pulled from the water is unknown.
